Customized Ideal Stock Horse (ISH)
Sarah took an Ideal Stock horse and resculpted and repositioned his neck, added a new mane and tail, resculpted his chest muscles, added wrinkles in his 'arm pits', resculpted his muzzle so it now has a 'fleshy horsey' look, resculpted his 'stallion parts', carved out his hooves and added frogs, perked up and reshaped his left ear, reshaped right ear, added veining to the belly, and added a bit to the brow of the left eye. He was then painted a rich chestnut in oils, with markings added in acrylic. He also has a mixed blue/brown right eye.

"Khan" resin in a rich, glowing palomino with lots of chrome. Done by hand with oils, with white markings, mane, tail, eyes, and other details done with acrylics. He has lighter colored eyes like many palominos do, lots of subtle shading, and the mane and tail are also shaded to avoid a 'stark' all white look. He also sports metal Rio Rondo horse shoes.

"Khemosabi" in medium dappled grey with a star, strip, and snip, and a right rear sock. This horse was painted with acrylics, mostly with an airbrush. The mane and tail were done by hand to aviod that 'airbrushed' look, and there was also a lot of colored pencil detailing to also really 'set in' the paint job and avoid the 'airbrushed' look. Colored pencil detailing included highlighting lots of dapples, making some of them star dapples, doing some hair detail on the lower legs, and detail on the hooves. The base is a dark greenish color that compliments him nicely and isn't a detraction.

"Nevada" mini scale resin in black roany sabino. Base color in acrylics with an airbrush, details by hand. Tons of pencil roaning over entire body, including hair swirls on flanks, chest, and near her udder. This extremely detailed step took about 10 hours to complete. All her hooves are carved out with frogs, and some additional hair added to the tail to increase the fullness and 'windblown' effect
