Brioso in palomino!

Here is a rare opportunity to aquire a Brioso painted by Sarah. This resin is increasingly difficult to find for sale, and ones painted by Sarah are few and far between. This one was painstakingly prepped by Sarah, and then handpainted in oils for rich depth of color. Final details, including white markings, mane, tail, eyes, etc, where done by hand in acrylic. The mane and tail were layered on with several different off whites to avoid looking too stark. The eyes are a lighter color commonly found in palominos. Other details include 'kissy spots' on muzzle, and hooves with ermine spots/stripes detailed with colored pencil to give them a lot of texture.

Meet "Caldero" a customized "UVM Yesteryear" with a "Mephisto" head, new mane, tail, and feathering on legs. Meant to depict a Spanish type mustang, he could also represent a variety of other breeds and mixed/grade horses. This custom was offered as a small run resin edition to the most loyal RoseStudios customers over the last few years. A few of them will be painted and sold on eBay, in fact, this is the first Caldero cast, and the only one in existence at this time.

This one was hand painted in oils to a creamy grullo with dun factor including barring on the legs and a dark dorsal strip with barbs. The mane and tail are mixed like many duns have. He was finished off with some minimal overo markings, a white hind sock, and a unique blaze. His hooves were detailed in colored pencil to make them appear very realistic. He has 4-6 coats of protective finish.

"Oberon" in dappled grey

The original version of the mini scale Percheron stallion "Oberon", presented here in an intricate dappled grey. Sarah spent two days painting him with an airbrush, and another day doing the detailing. He has LOTS of dapples, many where accentuated with colored pencils and hand painting so they really stand out. His mane and tail are a dark charcoal grey with lighter hairs mixed in. His lowered hooves were carved out to include frogs and bars, and detailing was done with colored pencils on them as well.

What a great Christmas gift he would be!

"Nevada" and "Poquito"

Sarah hand painted this pair in oils for luminous, rich color. The markings and details were hand painted in acrylic, with some final details in colored pencil. Meet "Khaptivate", a one-of a kind Nahar custom. Sarah took a headless "Nahar" body and added a "Khemosabi" head. He also had a broken tail so it was re-attached in a more 'flagged' upright position, and had a new lower part of the tail sculpted. Both head and tail were solidly attached with screws and baking soda/super glue, which forms a very strong resin like material that bonds to the resin.

Next he was painstakingly airbrushed in acrylics to a dark mahogany dappled bay, with details added by hand. He has three socks and a unique star, stripe, and mostly white muzzle. He also has ermine spots, striped hooves, and several kissy spots on his nose. There was also some colored pencil detailing, most notably on the hooves.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a custom model that combines two of the most popular Arabian horse resins in the Model Horse Hobby, "Nahar" and "Khemosabi". The only other customs this extreme were sold at the NAN auctions in 2000 and 2001.
